Finding the right balance in life is one of the toughest challenges we face. With modern day lifestyles of working extended hours, balancing raising a family with work, maybe now working from home too, having fast food available everywhere we go, almost everything we eat and drink containing sugar and the media contradicting itself on a daily basis telling us what we should and shouldn't be doing, it's no wonder most of us don't even know where to begin!
We are also well into the era of fitness classes, gym bunnies, online workouts, fad diets and Photoshop and often the advice provided however accurate or inaccurate it may be, doesn't always suit the lifestyles of today. What I want to teach you is how easy it is to start feeling better in yourself both inside and out WITHOUT fad diets, supplements, fasting or calorie counting. It requires willpower and dedication to yourself - the same willpower you have to go to work, take care of your family and maintain your home. Once you start making small tweaks to your everyday routines, the lifestyle changes will come naturally and you'll never feel like you are missing out or are desperate to give in.
Every single one of us is different and unique. Even though the basic functions of our bodies are the same, our shapes are different, our abilities are different and we can react slightly differently to the food and drink we eat. This can be down to intolerances, allergies or illnesses just to name a few and even how efficient our bodies function. The best way to be successful in the long term is to not compete with anyone else and not strive to look like anyone else. Aim to be THE BEST VERSION OF YOU.
These are some of the people I have supported with their health and fitness journeys over the years and the before and after photos were taken between 8-10 weeks apart.
There are no such thing as quick fixes if you want to lose fat, increase muscle tone and how effective your body is at using energy. It took you a long time to gain and sustain any extra weight so it won't disappear overnight! You can however with realistic expectations and support, work towards achieving a healthier body and mind with better nutritional knowledge, lifestyle hacks and an exercise routine you enjoy!
That is what I can offer you. I will teach you how to be kinder to yourself, focus on the things you value, shop smarter in the supermarket and make time for you to not only exercise but to breathe. I will explain to you the 'why' when it comes to the choices you make at meal times and what role nutrients play in our bodies. I'll also teach you about the impacts of sugar and alcohol and a sedentary lifestyle. Once we understand the why, it's easier to apply a new approach without that feeling of being deprived.
If you've read the 'Meet Aimee' page, you'll know that I certified as a Nutritional Therapist following my own journey with weight gain and food intolerances. I want to share this knowledge with you and help you make a positive change to your life without fearing the scales or clothes not fitting week in week out.
